The ability to type quickly, without very many mistakes, is an important skill for many jobs.  

The speed of typing is calculated by the words per minute or wpm you're able to type. The average person types between 30 and 40 wpm, but many jobs require a faster typing speed.

It's important to type quickly, but it's also important to type correctly, without errors in spelling or punctuation. The accuracy of typing is calculated by how few errors there are in the text that you type.
