Before you start preparing for a presentation, it's important to figure out what the goal of the presentation is.

 

Presentations can provide information, encourage an audience to try something new, offer a solution to a problem, or many other things.

 

Once you figure out the goal of the presentation, you can decide what other information you need to share with the audience to accomplish your goal.

 

Setting a goal is a good way to begin planning a presentation.
