7th Grade Computer Literacy

Follow all of the instructions on this page.  This will guide you through adding appropriate text to your report:

Make sure your report about video games is open (You recently opened it in Lesson 4.  If you closed it, then you'll have to open it again.  It is the one called Your Last Name+Video Games in Education.)

When the document is open, read it.  It is one paragraph. It is a brief introduction about the debate over the use of video games in education.

NOW:

  1. Scroll to the end of the paragraph.

  2. Click once at the end of the last sentence and press ENTER to start a new line.

  3. Type at least 3 sentences SUPPORTING the use of video games in education. Use the facts that you read about in the online article. Be sure to type facts (not opinion) but use your own words, DO NOT COPY AND PASTE from the articles.

  4. Press ENTER to start a new line.

  5. Type at least 2 sentences describing reasons why using video games in education could be a bad idea. Use facts from the article that you read. Again, be sure to type your own words, DO NOT COPY AND PASTE!

  6. Scroll up to the top of the page.

  7. Type an appropriate title for this report.

  8. After the title, press enter and then type your first and last name right under the title.

  9. Right under your name, press enter 2 times.  Pressing enter 2 times will create some extra space to separate the title and your name above the first paragraph.

  10. Type paragraph headings above each of the new paragraphs that you typed. Paragraph headings are short indicators of what each paragraph is about. There should only be a single line space between the paragraph heading and the paragraph.
