Proofreading: Spaces
7th Grade Computer Literacy

Here are some things to check for when you're making sure spaces are used correctly in a document:

There is a space between each word.

For example, "nospace" should have a space between the no and the space.

There are no extra spaces in the document.

For example, "too   many spaces" has too many spaces between the too and the many.

Each period has a space after it.

For example, "I'm professional.I am a hard worker." should have a space between the period after professional and the I that follows.

TIP: Sometimes, it's okay to have two spaces after each period. If you decide to do this, you need to make sure that there are two spaces after every punctuation mark at the end of each sentence in your document, not just some of them.
