Just as you changed the formatting of text in a word processing document, the data that is entered into a spreadsheet can be formatted in a similar manner.  The font, color, and size of text can be changed as well as formatting styles.  You can also change the background color of a cell, add borders, images, and change the alignment to improve the appearance of the data in your worksheet.

 

Your Typing Test spreadsheet was nicely organized, but it wasn't very pretty to look at. On the next few pages, you'll follow instructions for making your Shopping Expenses spreadsheet look far more snazzy than your Typing Test spreadsheet!
